Erectile Dysfunction

Epidemiological studies consistently show that prevalence of erectile dysfunction (ED) increases with ageing. Nonetheless, complaints of ED even in younger men are becoming more and more frequent.

The main causes of erectile dysfunction include psychological and health conditions, medications, trauma and lifestyle factors. Penile erection is a complex process in which the brain, nerves, muscles and blood vessels play a major role. In addition, hormones and emotions are at work.

Mesenchymal Stem Cells for ED

Studies have shown the beneficial effects of stem cell-based therapies for the recovery of erectile function following cavernous nerve injury, diabetes and aging. (Albersen M.  et.al. Sex Med Rev. May 2013)

Stem cells can restore sufficient erectile function to allow previously impotent men to have spontaneous intercourse. (European Association of Urology. Science Daily, March 2017)

MSCs intracavernous injection treatment improves erectile function by inhibiting corpus cavernosum fibrosis and exerting neuro regenerative effects on cell bodies of injured nerves

(Jian-Qiang Zhu. et.al. Biotechnology Letters, July 2015)

The Treatment for ED

Mesenchymal stem cells can be given to the patient by IV and by direct injection into the penis.

IV stem cell can help normalize hormones and raise the overall health of the man. The direct injection can be used in combination with IV stem cells to get a superior result. The direct injection of the penis is not painful as the penis in numbed by anesthesia prior to the injection.
